The Story
The hardest part of covering a modern graphics card is not the water path — it is the weight. A plate long enough to sit over core, memory and VRM also acts as a lever on a PCB that was never designed to carry it. The CGP Forge design answers with a machined copper body, 0.4 mm micro-channels across the full contact area, and a mounting pattern that loads the board evenly instead of at the ends.The acrylic top stays clear so the fin field can be inspected, and the aluminium backplate is not decoration: it stiffens the assembly and carries half the clamping load off the card. Four ports sit in a rotatable terminal, so routing stays clean in tight cases. Before sign-off, every block is held at 1.5 bar for 30 minutes, then bolted to a reference card and checked for PCB flex.
